MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED.
COLLISION WITH A CAR.
VICTIM'S SKULL FRACTURED.
MOUNT ALBERT ACCIDENT. Fatal injuries were received by a motorcyclist, Mr. Arthur Lambert Lee, aged 25, of 4, Vincent Terrace, Mount Albert, when his machine crashed into the back of a motor-ear at Oie corner of Gladstone Road and Woodward Road, Mount Albert, on Saturday evening. Mr. Edward Hughes, who was pillion-riding on the cycle, received slight injuries. Mr. Lee. was driving along Gladstone l!oad toward Great North Road, and the motor-car, which was driven by Mr. M. J. Moore, of 38, Old Mill Road, Grey Lynn, was proceeding in the opposite direction along Gladstone Road. The car was turning into Woodward Road when the motorcycle collided with it. Both Mr. Lee and Mr. Hughes were thrown to the ground.. Mr. Lee was picked up unconscious a'ld was taken to I lip Auckland Hospital with a fracture of tho skull. He died shortly after his admission. The cycle was badly damaged, the front portion being wrecked. Damage was done to the rear of tho car, the glass, in one door being broken.
