CHARITABLE BEQUESTS.
SIR C. SKERRETT'S WILL. The lato Sir Charles Skerrctt, by his will, set aside a portion of his estate with directions to the trustees to invest it, and to apply the income to such educational charities in New Zealand as they might, subject to certain directions, determine. At a recent meeting the trustees —Miss M. Skerrctt, Mr. D. G. A. Cooper and Mr. 11. F. Johnston, K.C.—made the second half yearly allocation" of income as follows: —Sealoun Boys' Preparatory Collego and Upper Hutt Girls' Cop vent, each £25; Hastings Convent and Napier Convent, each £3O; Jubilee, institute for the Blind, Auckland, Wellington Free Kindergarten Association, and Anglican Boys' Home, Lower Hutt, each £2O; Palmerston North Convent, £lO.
