PRESENTATIONS.

A farewell social, arranged fcy the Town Board, was accorded to Mr. F. M. Delany and his family in the Henderson Town Hall last week. Mr. Delany has been stationmaster at Henderson for the last 15 years and is now retiring on superannuation after completing 37 years' service. Short speeches were made bv Mr. A. W. Bnssey, chairman of the Town Hoard, and by Mr. \V. It. T. Le.ghlon. A bnroineter and a handsome silver tea service were presented to Mr. and Mrs-' Delany. (lifts wero also" made to Miss Delanv and Messrs. A. and M. Delany. Bouquets were also presented to Mrs. Delany and her mother, Mrs. L. Quick, bv the members of the Henderson Women's Institute. About 350 persons were present and a programme of musicai items was given.

A large number of railway employees assembled in the Frankton Social Hall on Saturday evening to farewell Mr. G\V. Mason, who has retired on superannuation from* the position of passenger foreman at Frankton. Mr. H.' Micklleton presided, and he and other speakers paid ti tribute to the respect and esteem in which Mr. Mason had been held by all branches of the service. Mr. Mason was presented with a gold watch mid * travelling bag.
