ROTORUA NOTES.

BRIDGE PARTY. Mrs. A. Sommerville was hostess at a most enjoyable bridge party given at her home in Seddon Street on Monday evening in honour of her sister, Mrs. Tennant, of Wairoa, Hawlte's Bay, who has been visiting her for the past few weeks. To receive her guests Mrs. Sommerville wore a frock of black silk iace. Mrs. Tennant was in gentian blue georgette. Making a wonderful show of colour were attractive bowls of zinnias and marigolds, which were arranged in the bridge room, where progressive bridge was played. The prizes wero won by Mrs. Roberts, first, Mrs. Hay second, and Mrs. Tennant consolation prize. Among the guests were: Mrs. J. D. Daws, Mrs. Holland, Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Knight, Mrs. Ryder, Sirs. Hay, Mrs. Roe, Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Carr, Mrs. lierrold, Miss Stanton and Miss Snodgrass. Personal. , Mrs. Eliot Davis and Mrs. Alexander are Auckland visitors to Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. R. Sharman, accompanied by their daughter Margaret, and Miss Molly Court, are guests at the Grand Hotel. . /s i Mrd. Oxley and Mr. Stafford Oxley. of Wellington, have been spending a holiday in Rotorua, and are now visiting Matamala before returning home.
