RUGBY FOOTBALL.

-SUBURBS CLUB'S SEASON. There was a good attendance of members at tho annual meeting gf tho Suburbs Rugby Football Club on Wednesday evening. Mr. W. V. Kelsall presided. The _ balance-sheet showed an improvement in the credit balance of , about £25 over Inst year. The assets were £5Ol and the liabilities £206, leaving ii credit balance of £295. The annual report stated that the club had about 70, playing members Inst season Rnd entered teams in four grades. The j sixth ■ grnde team won its competition with an unbeaten record . UNIVERSITY CLUB. A SATISFACTORY YEAR. A satisfactory year was reported at the annual meeting of the Auckland University College Football Club on Wednesday even- . ing. Mr. M. R. O'Shea presided over an attendance of about 80 members. The annual report stated that the senior team had been placed third in the Rugby Union championship. The club had six teams playing in. the competitions. One of the principal events of the year was a visit of a team to Fiji as the guests of tho Fiji Rugby Uni:n. Although (he team did not win all its matches, the manager reported that very j;ood displays bad been given. The balance sheet showed the club to bo in » good financial position.
