PAST YEAR'S ACTIVITIES.

A satisfactory financial position is revealed in the annual report and balance. • sheet of the Auckland Rugby Football Union, which will bo presented to the 47th annual meeting next Monday evoning; After allowing for the cost of the representative tour of the North Island, the profits for tlio year amounted to £490. while club receipts were maintained and compared more than favourably with those of the, previous year, which constituted a record. Tlio income and expenditure account showed the total receipts for th* year to be £4IBB, of which £2768 comprised club receipts. lyPlit and maintenance of grounds accounted for £22.16. Tlio sum of £IBO4 was devoted to Eden Park,"lnoliulinj? a payment of £1172 to tlio New Zealand Union. A balance of £I4BO was carried to the net revenue account, which showed a payment of £391 to various charitable institutions, §rid ft subscriotion of £IOOO to virions sporting organisations, including .£391 in schools. During the coming season the union will receive among others visits (roni Welling! on and liawke's l\iy representatives, and possibly also from Otago and Southland, while tho Auckland team is to visit Tafanaki.
