The final of .the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's D grade championship was played on Saturday at the Stanley Street courts between Rnwhiti, winners of the crass courts section, and Campbell Park, winners of the hard courts section, the former winning. Following were the results, Campbell Park names being mentioned first in each case:—

SECONDARY SCHOOLS TOURNEY.

PLAY AT STANLEY STREET,

Play in tho boys' section of the Auckland secondary schools' lawn terms championships was continued at the Stanley Street courts on Saturday morning under the control of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association. The open doubles, 6emor singles and junior singles competitions were continued, the final stages being almost reached in' the latter two events. The tourney will .be completed next Saturday if the remaining semi-finals and finals of the open doubles competition can bo decided in timo. The annual championship tournament controlled by the Auckland Primary Schools' Lavrti Tennis Association was commenced at the Parnell courts in perfect weather on Saturday morning. . TE KUITI CLUB TITLE. [from our own correspondent.] TE KUITI, Saturday. The championship of the To Kuiti Lawn Tennis Club was won by H. Mc.Lcod, who defeated P. Whitehead, 6—4, 6—4. Mesdames Johuson and Tate won the ladies' handicap doubles and Messrs. Seeker and Tate tho men's handicap doubles. The B grade finalists are Misses P. McLeod and T. Dinsdale and Messrs. D. Ormsby sad C. Dick.

9 MATCH FOR HOUSE CUP.

WIN FOR MANGERE CENTRAL. The competition for the House Cup was decided at. Mangere Central on Saturday between teams representing Mangero East and Mangero Central, the latter winning by seven matches,to five, one being not completed. TAKAPUNA GALA

PROGRAMME OF SPORTS

A most successful gala and sports afternoon was held in the Takapuna, District School grounds on Saturday. A display of Swedish drill was given by the boss, of the school, and folk dancing and ribbon dances were given by the girls. During the afternoon a number of championship events were held for the pupils of the Milford and Takapuna Schools. The boys' relay race was won by De Vere's team, and the girls' event by Kathleen Payno's team. The winners of these events received a Horbert Smith Trust Cup for the team, and miniatures for oach competitor. A basketball match between the past and present pupils was won by the past team. The girls' tennis doubles tournament was won by Mario Hanner and Kathleen Leach. The boys' tournament was won by J. Hiqhins ond T. "Wrisrht. The Mayoress of Takapuna, Mrs. <T. W. "Williamson, presented the' prizes at the conclusion of the events. Musical items were given by the Takapuna Municipal Band.

Tho final of the. Rodney Lawn Tennis Association's inter-club competition was played on Saturday between WelJsford and Warkworth, and resulted in a win for tho former by nine matches to sis. Tho t:up was presented to tho winners by the president of the association, Mr. 11. G. Wenzlick.
