HARBOUR SWIM.
RACE FOR THE MORGAN CUP.
CRUMP AGAIN SUCCESSFUL,
For the second year in succession. Noel Crump won tho haribour swim over a distanco of one mile nnd a-quarter for the Morgan Cup. h«ld by the North Shore Swimming Club on Siturdasy afternoon. The race, which was instituted last year, is a handicap event and is contested annually. The course was from the Torpedo Wharf, North Head, to the Devonport vehicular fe/ry wharf.
A crowd of about 250 people saw Crump finish about 50yds. ahead of .Tj. Smith, who was closely followed by A. McDougall. S. "Watson filled fourth place, tho scratch man, A. Baird. being fifth. Tho fastest time was mado by Smith. (355). who completed the coura® in 29m 325. The naxfc fastest times were "Watson (353), 30m 325, and Crump (6jm), 32m 545. There were 14 competitors, 11 of whom finished. The youngest swimmer was a young boy of 'l2, Hambrook, who finished tenth. His effort was enthusiastically applauded by tho spectators.
DUNEDIN HARBOUR RACE
VICTORY TO MSS MATHIESON,

The annual ha,rbour race for the Batt Cup was held over a course of 2i miles yesterday, under the auspices of the Otago Swimming Centre. ]t was won by Miss Maxine Mathieson, who also won last year. The winner's time was lh 9m 295. The fastest time was achieved by Val Newall, who swam second in lh 4m 40s.
