STATEMENT BY MUSSOLINI.

MESSAGE TO GERMANY.

LONDON, Dec. 29. The Berlin correspondent of the Times savs a message from tho Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini, appeared on Christmas Day in tho Nationalist Tag alongside a message from Herr Hugenberg, the Nationalist leader, who is the chief proprietor of the paper. Signor Mussolini recalled his references to "avoiding war by revising treaties," and stated that Italy demanded a revision, not from national egotism, but principally for reasons of justice and morality, which alone could form the basis of a lasting peace. Herr Hugcnberg says Signor Mussolini's statement brings Italy out from the ring of Towers allied against Germany in the Great War.
