The Advisory Council recently appointed at a representative meeting of primary, commercial and business interests, has propounded a policy which it considers should bo put into immediate effect in order to stave off the dangerous financial drift.
Its chief recommendations comprise the suspension of awards, a revision of the tariff, and the removal of restrictions on the rak of exchange, to enable the primary producers to acquire the full benefit of their products. Finally, a drastic revision of Government expenditure is recommended.
The Advisory Council is arranging meetings throughout the country to give the producers an opportunity of making a united demand along these lines.
