The cricket match between (ho Wellington junior representatives and an Auckland City and Suburban Association representative eleven resulted in a win by I'J runs on the first innings for the visiting team. Wellington made 217 in its first innings, and at stumps on Monday Auckland had compiled 175 for two wickets. KAIPARA BEATS RODNEY

A Rodney cricket team visited Helenßville on Saturday and played a Ivaipara eleven. Kaipara won the toss and hatted first. E. .Tennyns, who played a sterling innings for 67, J. Herd 16, and J. B. Hooper 13 not out, were tho principal scorers in a total of 142. Bowling for Rodney, Bell took two wickets tor 23 runs. Ail-' drews four for 18, Scott three for 38, Edwards one for 15. Rodney's innings, which realised 137, was chiefly compiled by forceful batting. Campbell headed the scores with 31, well supported by Scott 2fi, Matthew 24 and Neeley 24. In an exciting finish the last Rodney man was run out nnd Kaipara won by the narrow margin of 5 runs on the first innings. Bowling for Kaipara, J. R. Hooper took four wickets for 27 runs, F. Jennyns two for 26, R. A. Gardner two for 16 and F. James one for 18.
