PILKINGTON WINS FINAL,

Post-section play in tho South Auckland Bowling Centre's Christmas tournament, took place on tho Hamilton Club's green to-day and attracted a large gallery. W. Pomeroy, D. G. Meredith. W. Robinson and K. N. Pilkington (Hamilton), defeated H. Clarke, \V. M. Horton, N. Bell, jun., and N. Bell, sen. (Hamilton), by )7 to Hi. On the last head the game was ]fi all. An extra head was played and Pilkington secure the decision with his last bowl.
W. Aitken, 0. W. Wilkes, S. Hawken and R. Coombs (Hamilton), defeated J. S. Johnston, J. Kedpath. J. Kelly nnd H. McFarlano (Ngnnuiwiihin), by 27 points to M In the tinal Pilkington defeated C'oombs by 24 points to 21. C'oombs whs ahead until tho Oth head but on the 10th Pilkington got 0. Coombs got within ;5 of Pilkington later, but Pilkington was fi up on the 20th head. Coombs then scored iJ, leaving Pilkington the winner by points. Mr. \V. F. Mason presented the Hamilton Club with the South Auckland Shield and pennant, and the winning ski]) with tlie Fniser Smith Cup and individual trophies.
