When bathing afc Kai Iwi yesterday afternoon Mr. Thomas William Gibbi aged 23, single, of Castlecliff, Wanganui dived into a stream and struck a rod in his descent. •He suffered seven spinal injuries and was removed to th» Wanganui Hospital in a serious cond/ tion. Mr. Gibbs is.a popular and athlete and is employed by the Railway Department. , -
