WEEK-END WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland.—There was a continuation of fine summer weather during the weekend. On Saturday the wind was light south-west, but yesterday it had changed to the north-east. There wan a further rise of the barometer yesterday,• the reading heing 30.15 in. last night. Wellington.—Although the sky was overcast on Saturday morning' the afternoon was sunny and hot. with a fresh northerly breeze. Yesterday was fine with a light northerly wind. Christchurch.—The weather over the week-end was fine and hot. A north-west wind raised the temperature on Saturday to 89.9 degrees, causing .much discomfort. Yesterday was cooler though the wind was still blowing from the north-west. The barometer, which usually falls very low with the wind in that quarter was steady at 29.95 in. . .. . Dunedin.—The weather' was fine and very warm on Saturday with a light wind from the north-east. Yesterday was calm with a few warm showers in x the afternoon. The barometer was high and steady at 29.80 in.
