NIGHT CLOTHES ON FIRE.

BOY SEVERELY BURNED. READING BY CANDLE-LIGHT. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WAIHI, Saturday. Severe burns on the body and right arm were suffered by Allan Cooper, aged 14, son of Mr. J. Cooper, of Haszard Street, Waihi. It is stated that the lad fell asleep while reading in bed by candlelight, and his pyjamas caugfat fire. He was attended by Dr. L. R. Hetherington and taken to .the Waihi Hospital. His condition to-day was reported to be serious, but not critical.
