TWO MOTOR-CARS TAKEN.
ONE ABANDONED FOR OTHER. GARAGE DOORS OPENED. A particularly impudent theft of motorcars was carried out during Saturday night, when some person or persons made use of a vehicle removed from Epsom and abandoned it when they took another car from a garage at St. Heliers Bay. A car owned by Mr. G. M. Howard, of 39, Epsom Avenue, was taken from outside the owner's residence between 11 o'clock on Saturday night and three o'clock yesterday morning. The car, which had been driven a long distance, was found yesterday outside the residence of Mr. S. F. Marler, Alain Road, St. Heliers.
Mr. Marler had placed his new car in his garage, which is close to the house, at midnight on Saturday, and at eight o'clock yesterday morning the garagfl doors were found open and the car was missing. This is the second time Mr. Marler's car has been taken, and late last evening it had not been recovered.
