MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD.
TOUR OF EAST COAST. A tour of the East Coast districts will bo commenced by tlio members of tho Main Highways Board from Wellington to-day. The party will proceed through tho Wairarapa district to Napier and the cast coast, district, through to Opotiki by the new Waiookn Road. From Opotiki, members will go to Rotorna and Tauranga and through the Waihi district to Coromandel. Tho members will return to Wellington through tho centre of tho island. During its tour, the board will confer with local bodies regarding roads in tho various districts. Mr. M. H. Wynyard, motorists' representative on tho board, left by train for Wellington last evening.
