SCENE IN SYDNEY.

POLICE CLASH WITH CROWD. SCUFFLE IN A STREET. (Received November 14. 11.25 p.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 14. There was a sensational clash in the City to-day when 80 men and women came into conflict with a squad of police. A crowd was proceeding to the office of the Premier, Mr. J. T. Lang, when the police intervened. A fierce scuffle followed, and during the fight screams and oaths rent the air. The police and their prisoners rolled in tho street as they fought.

The police cars were rushed to the central police station, where six persons were detained.

The police have charged 12 persons variously with taking part in an unlawful procession, resisting arrest, and inciting to resist arrest.
