BOY STRUCK BY CAR.
ACCIDENT AT FREEMAN'S BAY. CONDITION REPORTED CRITICAL. Serious injuries were received by Desmond Pickett, aged six years, when he was knocked down by a motor-car in Wellington Street, Freeman's Bay, about 7.45 last evening. His condition at a late hour was critical. The boy, who resided at 66, Wellington Street, was running across the road toward his home when the accident occurred. He received a fracture of the skull and a fracture of the left thigh. He was taken by the St. John Ambulance to tho Auckland Hospital.
