FALL FROM HORSE.
MARRIED WOMAN'S DEATH. ACCIDENT AT SWANSON. The adjourned inquest was held yesterday by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., into the deatii of Mrs. Lucy Sophia Luckens, aged 40, who died at the Auckland Hospital on October 28, following injuries received when she fell from a horse at Swanson on August 6.
Audrey Luckens, aged 11, daughter of the deceased, said at about noon on August 6 she was riding with her mother. The horse which her mother was riding was a spirited animal and galloped ahead between Birdwood and Waitakere. When witness rounded a bend she saw her mother lying on the ground, partly beneath the horse. She was conscious and witness helped to release her. The road was of clay and was wet in places. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
