Nicoll's brilliant pacer Wrack-lf-r. who added unother important victory 1o liia record by winning tho final -of the New Zealand Trotting Cup at, Addington yesterday, has been a remarkably successful performer, having notched thirteen wins, fix soconds and four thirds in thirty-thrco Btiuts for winnings amounting to £G23O. Wrackler is a five-year-old gelding by Wrack tfrom Trix Pointer. His sire and clam were both imported from America and Trix Pointer will bo well remembered as tho winner of tho New Zealand Trotting Cup in 1919 and other good races. Trix Pointer v(ii drained in New Zealand by F. Holmes, whose son, M. Holmes, has driven Wrackler jn most of his successes. Wrackler commenced racing as a twoyen r-old, when ho gavo evidence of being above tho ordinary by pacing a milo and " Imlf in 3.29 4-5 to finish third at liis tii«t ntiirt. As a three-year-old ho won tho Great. ■ Northern Derby and tho New Zealand Derby, besides other races, and taking r. wiuhjng record of 4.32 2-5 for two miles. La>t season ho again did well and this reason lie has failed only onco in four Blurt 3. Tho performances of Wrackler stamp him ns a pacer of real class, and, as ho is still a young horse, ho may rise to even greater heights, / Although ft very plain-looking liorpe, he possesses speed, stamina and courage of a high order and these qualities stood him in good ejead in his race yesterday, when ho wua pitted against the Dominion's best.
