PAYOUT ON BUTTER-FAT.
METHOD OF DISTRIBUTION. SUPPLIER SUES COMPANY. [BV TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PAHIATUA, Friday. A test case of interest to dairy companies throughout the Dominion was heard in the Magistrate's Court before Mr. J. Miller, S.M. Martin Neleander Olsen sued the Mangatainoka Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., for £4 lis lOd for butter-fat supplied. Like every other supplier Olsen received monthly advances. At the start of the season his supply was very low, when prices were high. He claimed that the articles of association provided for the pay-out to be made on tho average price for the season, which would have returned him an additional £4 lis lOd for his butter-fat. His objection was to tho company's method of distribution of profits. Decision was reserved.
