In reply to a letter from tho Otago District Council of tho Alliance of Labour with referenco to its protest against the Minister's determination to select tho workers' representative on the Unemployment Board, the Minister of Labour, the Hon. S. _G. Smith, wrote:—"ln view of the tone of your letter, and the unfair imputations it contains against the Government and myself, I do not propose to take any action other than to advise you that the communication reached me by the mail arriving on the lst-inst."
