SCULLING CHAMPION.
STRENUOUS TRAINING WORK. Training for a world's sculling championship is no sinecure, especially if it is on the Thames, where the course measures four miles and a bit. It requires tip-top condition, and this is how red 1 helps secured it for his latest race with Bert BarryHo rose at seven each morning, walked from 12 to 14 miles daily, and sculled 18 to 20 miles. Also from Sentember 2 until the race on October 10 lie was upon a strict diet.
