The water at the face of the 60ft, dam afc Waipori has now reached' the 58ft. level, having risen three feet sinca Thursday last. This increased volume of water represents the largest quantity ever stored at Waipori. Ihe position may be regarded as cmiui ently satisfactory, particularly as tha level has risen in spite of the daily draw off of 170 cubic feet per second for work* ing the power plant. The daily quantity of water in use is 340 acre feet, an acra foot of water being sufficient to- cover an area of one aero to a depth of one foot* Given normal conditions during the com* ing summer there should bo an amplaf supply of water for all purposes.
