WOMEN'S DIVISION.

N.Z. FARMERS' UNION. A well-attended meeting of the Morrinsville branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held in the Masonic Hall, Morrinsville, on Tuesday to meet Mrs. Jackson, Dominion president, who delivered a most interesting address. The president, Mrs. I. A. Walker, presided. Mrs. Jackson gave a review of how the women's branch of the Farmers* Union had been started by a few enthusiasts, how it had developed and the useful work it had already done. During the past year 50 new branches had been started. There were now 102 branches throughout the country, with a membership of 7000. Among its many useful activities she mentioned supplying nurses and housekeepers to back-block settlers who were in trouble, care of tlie Flock House boys and girls, women s exchange for the sale of work done by members of farmers' families, transport of country children to the nearest dental clinic, publication of a cookery book, book clubs and the assistance thoy were receiving from the Government. At the conclusion of the address Mrs. Jackson answered a number of questions and was accorded a hearty voto of thanks for hor visit and the interesting information she had given.
