HOME BURNED DOWN.
OUTBREAK NEAR PUTARURU. [by telegraph.—own correspondent. ] PUTARURU, Wednesday. Fire destroyed a five-roomed house on the Waotu Road this week. The dwelling, which was owned and occupied by Mr. G. H. Gale, was insured for £250, and tho contents for £169, both in the New Zealand Office. COTTAGE .ON ISLAND. DESTRUCTION OF BUILDING. A four-roomed cottage on Rakino Island, owned by Mr. Gilbert Sanford, of King's Parade, Devonport, was completely destroyed by fire yesterday morning. The house was insured for £320 and the contents for ££>o with the New Zealand Ins surance Company. , «
