GLEN EDEN CLUB. Tho balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of tho Glen Eden Cricket Club showed the club lo be in a very sound financial position. Tho report also stated that tho season had beoti a successful one. The following officers were elected : Patron, Mr. W. E. Martin; vice-patron, Mr. F. K. Routley; president, Mr. C. [ISY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Wednesday. A satisfactory year was reviowed in the annual report of,tho Frankton Cricket Club, which wns presented at tho annual meeting last ovening. Mr. M. A. Connolly presided. The following officers were fleeted for the ensuing year;— Patron, Mr. W. S. Hifgins; president., Mr. M. A. Connolly; vice-presi-dents. Messrs. W. Everest, A. H. Tompkins, W. G. Ross, A. Turner, C. N. Rabone, S. G. Malins, C. Morris, J, Roid; secretary, Mr. T. A. Ewan: treasurer, Mr. A. H. Ward; club captain. Mr. W. G. Lee; committeo. Messrs. A. St. George, G. Pearcc, W. G. Loe, T. E. Mills; selection committee, Mr. W. Everest and team captains; delegates to Waikato Cricket Association, Messrs. Ewan and Pearcc; auditor, Mr. N. Ross. The questions of tho number of teams to be entered in the Waikato Cricket Association's competitions and fho opening day for practice wero left in tho hands of the committee.
xPLUNKET SHIELD MATCHES. HOME AND AWAY PROPOSAL. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCIIURCH. Wednesday. Commenting on tho suggestion made nt the annual meeting of the Wellincrton Cricket Association that homo and awn.v matches should bo played for tlio Plunket Shield in every season when there was not a visit from an overseas team, Mr. A. T. Donnelly, president of the ftew Zealand Cricket Council, said that it would bo a very good thing iA the interests of cricket, but owing to tho expense and the difficulty of obtaining leave it would bo impracticable. However, the suggestion would bo discussed by tho council at its next meeting.
