UNIVERSITY SOCIAL WEEK.

'A BRIDGE EVENING. A most, enjoyablo bridge evening, the second of a series of social functions which are taking place at the University during the week, was held there last night. In the bridgo room a large log firo provided a cheery note of warmth and bowls of golden jonquils, Iceland poppies and irises looked most attractive. The committee responsible for the entertainment were the wives of the members of the law profession. The hostess for the evening was Mrs. R. P. Towle, who received the guests wearing a frock of midnight-blue georgette, with Oriental coatce. Other members of the committee present were: Mrs. A. St. C. Brown, who wore shell pink and black georgette with pink chenille georgette coatee; Mrs. G. P. Finlay, black georgette and lace; Mrs. J. H. Boyburn, tomato-red beaded georgette; Mrs. H. M. Rogerson, black chenillo georgette ; Mrs. J. Stanton, wine-red moire velvet. Among thoso present wore:—Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Towle, Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Finlay, Mrs. J. H. Reyburn, Mr. and Mrs, 11, AT.
