TWO CYCLISTS COLLIDE.
UNCONSCIOUS ON ROAD.
ONE IN SERIOUS CONDITION.

A serious motor-cycle collision occurred on the crown of a hill about a mile on tho Okoroiro side of Te Poi on Saturday night. Two cyclists, Martin Luther Sleeman, farm hand, To Poi, and a young Maori, Hemi Jack, also of Te Poi, were found lying on the road unconscious. They were later brought to Matamata Hospital.
Sleeman received a compound fracture of one knee-cap and laceration of the right hand, and Jack suffered a fracture of the upper and lower jaws. Tho cycles were badly damaged. Sleeman was subsequently sent to the Waikato Hospital, but Jack remained at Matamata. His condition to-day was serious.
