DEATH OF HUSBAND. [IIY TELEGRAM. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CIJIUSTCHUKCH, Monday. A sum of £IOOO as compensation was awarded to Eliza Greening in the Arbitration Court to-day for tlio death of her husband through an accident while ho was in the employ of James Manson Stewart, receiver for tho debenture-holders of Mount Torlcsso Collieries. The nature of the accident was heart-strain, caused by lifting heavy rails. Tho defenco was that Greening was not an employee of Stewart, but was merely one of a party of contractors. This con tention the Court did not sustain, holding that the relationship was in fact one of master and servant.
