Contrary to expectations, it was Robson who made tho most heroic effort against the fierce American attack on the golf championship. F. Robson, who was one stroke behind Bobby Jones, is professional at Cooden Beach Club, near Bexhill, Sussex. He was second, ccjual with Boomer, in tho open championship of 1927 at St. Andrews, which was won by Bobby Jones. He played for England against America in 1927 and 1923.
