LATE MR. J. McKINNON.

[BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] .HAMILTON, Thuraday. Tho esteem in which the lato Mr. John McKinnon was held by all classes of tho community was demonstrated at the funeral to-day, when a large and representative gathering filled St. Peter's Cathedral, where the first portion of the burial service was read. Among those present were tho Mayor of Hamilton, Mr. J. R. Fow, members of the Borough Council, Mr. W. Leo Martin, M.P., representatives of the Masonic Lodges, the Hamilton Fire Board, Domain Board, Boxing Associa tion, Football Association, and Justices of tho Peace Association. Archdeacon G. G. Bell, assisted by the Rov. J. Boyt, conducted tho service. He also conducted the gi'aveside obsequies, and afterwards read tho Masonic burial service. Many floral emblems were placed on tho grave.
