PEDESTRIAN KILLED.
STRUCK BY MOTOR-CAR. FATALITY AT TE RAPA. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Thursday. An elderly retired man, Mr. John William Clegg, of To Rapa, was killed almost instantly at 4.15 p.m. to-day, when ho was knocked down by a motor-car while lie was crossing the To Bapa Road, near the racecourse.
The motor-car was being driven by Mr. Walter McDonald, a farmer, of Taupiri, who was travelling homo from Hamilton when the accident occurred.
The scene of the accident is the spot where another pedestrian, Mr. Norman Stephen Bradley, was struck down and killed by a motor-car when crossing the road on April 12.
