GELDINGS IN CLASSIC RACES. DEBARRED AS FROM 1932. (Received May 14, 10.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 14. Tlio Australian Jockey Club and 1 lie Victoria Racing Club have iointly decided to debar geldings from competing in tho classic races of 1932 and thereafter. Tho opinion, is expressed that by allowing geldings to run in highly-endowed races for two-year-olds arid three-year-olds an inducement is held out to owners to trcld fine youngsters, without a trial, perhaps, before they have a reasonable chance to transmit their /,'ood qualities to progeny. Thus tho primary objective of the clubs—to improve tho breed of horses—is defeated. ' The new rulo is not to apply to present yearlings. Gloaming. Bull.vnicna. Prince Humphrey, Cupidon and Pilar Lao aro among the geldings which have been successful in past A..T.0. Derbies.
