Sir, —I nin not at all concerned witli (lie contentions and ideas of tlio Rational, isl -Association, but I would like to ask tliern where they can point to a nationalist orphanage or a Rationalist" home for unfortunates, or a "Rationalist shelter for the unemployed. Can they even point to a modest soup kitchen,' or any other of the many services to mankind that are being conducted by Christian organisations ? "What they cannot and never will do is to take from man that inborn knowledge which tells him that our Saviour did live, and does live, and that through the cross He re. moved from us, if we desired, the burden of wrong-doing, a burden which any right-thinking man knows would other, wise be intolerable.
