SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCERT.
KNOX CHURCH FUNCTION
The annual Sunday School concert and social given by the children and congregation of Knox Presbyterian Church was held in the Sunday School hall last even ing. There was a large audience and the items, which were given by the children, assisted by a few adults, were thoroughly enjoyed. The proceeds of the concert were in aid of tho Sunday School hall, tho renovation of which has just been completed. A profusion of bright summer flowers was arranged in tall stands and vases on the stage, making an attractive setting for those who took part in the concert. Tho He v. Mac Donald Aspland, minister of Knox Church, conducted proceedings and tho programme was arranged by Mr. W. Morrison, superintendent of the. Sunday School. Contributing to tho programme were Mrs. Bagrie, Miss Irene Tanner, Miss N. Lingard and Mr. Weild Paterson, who sang several songs. Items were also given by the following children :—Movna Rice, Isobol McDougal, Dacia Bagrie, Patricia, Ilcbden, Betty Weir, Violet Vomovitch, Gwen Milligan, Jean Clamcy, Desmond Hutchison and Eric Mathieson, who gavo recitations; Connie Cole, who sang; Ina Bagrie, pianoforte solo; Joyce and Alico Smith, dance item; and Brenda Ure, Patricia Hebdcn, Aileen Milligan, Daphne Metcalfe and Nancy Brown, who sang a hymn. The accompanists were Miss E. B. Paterson and Miss Renee Smith.
