USE OF SHOW GROUNDS.
TROTTING CLUB'S SYMPATHY.

Permission to use tho Claudclands showgrounds for polo .tournaments was sought by a deputation from tho Provincial Polo Association, whidi waited upoli the' Waikato Trotting Club executive last evening. The advantages of holding tho Savile Cup polo tournament on the Trotting Club's course at Claudclands were pointed out by Messrs. Wynn Brown and V. Chitty, who said the club's. tracks would not bo inter fered with.
Tho president of the Trotting Club, Mr. 11. W. Burch, eaid the club was. desirous of encouraging .polo, and provided, tho club was not '..asked to surrender its rights to the use of • the course, tho request, he thought, would bo granted. It was; finally-agreed that a cdnferenco of representatives of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the Trotting Club and the Polo Association should be hold on the ground to discjss the matter, .
