The Wanganui Trotting Club's annual meeting commenced to-day in fine weather, although there were several light showers. Tho attendance was fair. Tho totalisator investments totalled £0763 for seven races, against £8578 for eight races last year. The track was in good order. Results:—

G LEN ROSS I E'S SUCCESS. PROMISING THREE-YEAR-OLD. [liY TELEGRAPH.—OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] WANG AN UI, Thursday. Seventeen lined up for tho Wanganui Trotting Cup, in which Glenrossio put up a good performance, the promising three-year-old son of Matchlight winning comfortably. All Rod. Lady Author, Sir Guy and Logan's Prido were bucked as named. Speed King, Great Author and Lady Author nil failed to get going properly. Zealous was in front early, and made the paco hot. with Bingen Spiers and Glenrossie in a handy position. After going a mile tho order was Zealous, Glenrossie, Bingen Spiers, Kevin Brae, Sir Guy, Richmond Lass and Logan King. Glenrossio overhauled Zealous and gaining a commanding lead at tho turn, won by four lengths from Sir Guy. with Great Author 'a lieck away, third. Then camo Logan's Pride, All Red and Kevin Brae. Sir Guy was more successful at his second si art, when ho won the Morton Memorial, tho concluding event. Good Lady carried nearly twice as much money as Bonniewah. Bonniewah stayed on the mark. Zealous made all tho running and led into the straight, but in a great finish Sir Guy beat her by a neck, with Wakefield four lengths away, third. Kevin Brae and Good ; Lady were next.

Of tho 17 starters in tho Innovation Handicap, Capilano and Myrtle Dillon were most fancied. Lee Nelson was tho early leader, and was first into the straight, but Capilano tackled him and they fought out a great finish, Capilano gelling tho verdict by a neck, with Bingen Crest six lengths away, third. Daphno Locanda was fourth, and Myrtle Dillon next. Short Story broke when going well.

Pilot was backed down to ft short prico in the Ivirkwood Handicap, with Finoro and Dltio and Gold next in demand. Joy Rido led for half a mile, when Blue and Gold took charge. In a good finish Blue and Gold won by three-<n<arters of a length from Joy Ride, with Peter Eyre seven lengths avray, third. Then came Octachord and Finoro. Peter Fjyre broke when going well, and Joy Hide luoko frequently, but did not lose much ground. Pilot was nover dangerous. Twolve went to the post for thoi Eastbrook Handicap, Highland Derby being the popular choice, with Harold Logan and Baron Derby also in demand. Sister Chris lost her change at the start by being badly left. liuia Maid eet tho paco until crossing tho top, where Harold Logan took chargo. Ho went on to win by four lengths from Lady Yvonne, who finished fast and beat Huia Maid by a length for Rccoaid. Bonniewnh was fourth, and Highland Derby fifth. Thirteen were saddled up for Foster's Handicap. Good Lady was favourite. Short Story and Mr. Guy did not movo away well. Tawa King was tho first, to show out and he led until tho turn for home. Rolidena then went to tho front, but was tiring, and if was left to Rita Thorpe, Lightfoot. and Wee Thorpe to fight out tho finish. Jlends separated theni in tho order named. Good Lady was fourth, ami Short Story next.

Klevon lined up for the President's Handicap, Bessie Bingen carrying over I' 50 more than Brian Bingen. Tho former took (lie load after _ going half a mile. She opened up a big gap, and looked a nuro winner three-quarters of ft mile from homo, but then began to go back to tho field. Brian Bingen led into the straight, and won by thrco lengths from Joy Ride, with Rangitero two lengths away, third. Eva Rota wub fourth.
