MAN LIVES TO BE 152
An amazing story of a Shropshire man who, after living as a bachelor until he was 80, married twice, raking his second wife when he was 122 years of agi, and eventually died at the age of 152, as revealed lately, says an English paper, which, however, supplies no proof of age. The man wis Thomas Parr. Up to the last two months of his life hj» lived at Alberbury, near Shrewsbury, but when taken to London to be exhibited in the Strand he withered away like an uprooted tree." At his death an examination was made of Parr's body and a report issued, which said - The brain was healthy, very firm and hard to the touch: hence, shortly before his death, although he had been blind for 20 years, he heard extremely well, and understood all that was said to him.
