TOO FAST TRAMS.
The possible results of the abolition of the speed limit for tram-cars or the fixing of high speed limits recommended by the Royal Commission on Transport are viewed with alarm by the Highways Committee of the London Countv Council. Passengers are already deterred from travelling by tram-cars by fear of accident when passing between kerb and tramcars," says a report of a Special Committee, " with a consequent loss of revenue to the undertaking." Dealing with London traffic in general, the committe adds; " We are of opinion that, so fai as London is concerned, some definite limit Ehould still be placed on speed.-
