TALE OF A STAMP.

Thrt British Post Office has just provided an example of paradoxical ways of doing business. A London iirm produced a booklet to advertise its oods. This booklet was continued in a special jazz patterned wrapper,on which a cream label was affixed carrying the address. The Post. Office, however, refused to accept these wrappers, pointing out that it would be impossible to distinguish the stamp stuck on the wrapper since the jazz camouflaged it.. After considerable correspondence, how--ever, the Post Office, while still maintaining that the stamp would be impossible, to see, agreed to accept 1000 of the booklets a day. The firm is wondering why, if the stamp on 1000 per day is legible, 10,000 booklets could not-be taken ail at once.
