LONG YACHTING CRUISE.
JOURNEY IN VALKYRIE.
TRIP TO NORFOLK ISLAND.
The schooner-yacht Valkyrie, owned by Captain E. Gilling, will leave on a month's cruise to Norfolk Island on Wednesday. She has bcon chartered by a party of Aucklandors. Five have definitely decided to make the trip and threo others are expected to join the party either to-day or to-morrow. In addition, the yacht will carry a crew of four. Captain Gilling expects the trip to Nor. folk Isltind to occupy five to seven days under • favourable weather conditions. On her rtfturn from this cruise the Valkyrie will leave for an extended trip to the Islands. On her last cruise to Suva the yacht experienced very heavy weather and was blown out of her course. She proved herself a good seaboat and came through a sories of gales without mishap.
