The Cambridge Swimming Club held the most successful gala for sovdral seasons in tlio municipal bath on Saturday evening. There were fully GOO people present. Added interest attached to the gala by tho presence of swimmers from tho Parnell and Helansvillo Clubs, and by the appeaiauuc 01 Miss Lily Copplcstone, tho noted long-distance swimmer, who at present is residing at Morrinsville. .' A total of 182 entries wqro received. Some very fine contests were witnessed. The results of the principal events were as follows :
