TROTTING.
CANTERBURY NOTES, j ROI L'OR'S PROGRAMME. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CIIRISTCHURCH, • Monday. The announcement that tho West Australnin Trotting Association has decided to abandon its championship has been received with mixed feelings in Christchurch and the lack of information concerning what tho association is going to do in the way of providing a race in place of the championship is a matter for consideration. Ro! L'O.v would almost certainly have been nominated for tho big events at Addiiigton this week had the championship hi Perth not been mooted, but now in the pink of condition he ifl left without a chance for some time to come. The Auckland sportsman Mr. G. McMillan, has disposed of his crack" pacer Dnndas Boy, and this leaves him without a horse to contest tho tight class races. Dundus Boy was really the star of the stable controlled by R. B. Berry. There wore three track records broken at tho Forbury Park meeting on Saturday. The 3.35 8-5 registered by "White Satin was an Australian and New Zealand record for a mile and a-half for a three-year-old trotter, tho time for a mile and a-half by Wrackeen, 3.21 4-ss. iVnd the mile and aquarter by Sunshower in 2.45 2-5 being records for tho track. Sunshower is expected to race well at the meetinc at Addington on Saturday. Logan Hanlon, who raced at the I'orbusy Park meeting, is a horse that took the eye of several Canterbury trainers aH likely to develop into something above the average. He showed plenty of speed in his races at Forbury Park. ~ SEASON'S FIXTURES." February 15- Wellington Trotting : Club. February 22, 24-Otahuhu. Trotting., Club. March B—Timaru Trotting Club.
