CONCERT AT PRISON.
By the kindness of ;i number of members of the " Whoopee" company, an hour of most enjoyable entertainment was provided on Thursday for tho inmates of the Auckland prison. Tho programme included songs, dancing and recitations, all of which were much appreciated. The arrangements were made by Mr. S. Falls, official Presbyterian visitor to the prison. On tho ' same day, now year gifts of sweets were distributed to both men and women prisoners through the generosity of Mr. H. Jones, managing-director of J. H. Mennio, Limited..
