FURTHER AUCKLAND GAMES.
EPSOM AND REMUERA CLUBS
PLAY STOPPED BY RAIN.
The official programme for the Canadian bowlers in Auckland was continued yesterday, when the visitors received hearty welcomes at both the Epsom and Remuera Bowling Clubs' green. The morning was fino at Epsom, but rain caused a curtailment of the programme and games were restricted to 18 heads. After the luncheon adjournment the visitors were motored to the Remuera green, and it was decided to play whilo tho weather permitted. After being motored to the Epsom green for their third Auckland match, the Canadians were introduced by Mr. S. Coldicutt, president of the Auckland Centro. Mr. C. J. Blakey, president of tho Epsom Club, mado a short speech of welcome to tho visitors, and referred briefly to tho early history of tho gamo in New Zealand,-. Mr. G. C. Munns, M.P. for Roskill, supported tho president, and said that tho value of these visits between representatives of different parts of the Empire could not be over-estimated. Dr. W. Ivrupp, captain of tho Canadian team, briefly responded, and called on the vice-captain, Mr. A. W. H. Moore, to reply. Mr. Moore said that tho visit of tho New Zealand bowlers to Canada had created a wonderfully good impression, and all the members of the present touring team were very keen to meet the New Zealanders on their own greens. So far they had thoroughly enjoyed their stay in this Dominion, and thtjy all looked forward to a very happy tour. Dr. Krupp took a panoramic photograph of tho gathering for use on a tour which he intends to make in Canada, lecturing on New Zealand with illustrations collected during his stay here. At the morning tea adjournment, Mr. C. M. Croft, the Canadian Trade Commissioner, was introduced to tho bowlers by Mr. Blakey, and said that after his seven years' residence in tho Dominion he could assure tho Canadians that their welcome in New Zealand would bo as sincere and spontaneous as they could wish.
During the morning the ladies of the party were the guests of Mrs. J. W. Hardley and Mrs. J. M. Thomson at morning tea.
Visitors Defeated. The Canadians were defeated in the morning's play by a team of representatives from various clubs by 112 points to 95. Owing to a delayed start and rain toward tho end of tho morning, it was decided to curtail tho games to 18 heads.

Drawn Game at Remuera. The weather in the afternoon was very disappointing for the fourth match, which was to have been played on the Remuera green. On their arrival at tho club pavilion, the Canadians were welcomed by Mr. J. W. Hardley, of the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association, and by tho president of tho Remuera Club, Mr. "E. E. Daniels, who expressed his regret that the rain should have interfered with the afternoon's play. He trusted, however, that tho visitors would find their welcome nono the less cordial. Later in the afternoon it was decided to continue play as long as possible. Six heads were played, and the match was then abandoned. The bowlers adjourned to the pavilion, where afternoon tea was served, and music was supplied by Mr. Halloran's orchestra. The test match, Auckland v. Canada, will be played on the Auckland Bowling Club's green this afternoon. Tho bowlers' social will be held in Scots Hall, Symonds Street, this evening. On Monday the Canadians will depart by train for Hamilton, where they will play games against the South Auckland clubs.
