HUSBAND THREATENS WIFE. TERM OF IMPRISONMENT. " This man rushed in a drunken state into tlie shop occupier] by liis wife and daughter and declared that ho would ' do for thein,' " said Sub-Inspector M'cCarthy when Frederick James Cain, aged 43, seaman, was charged in the Police Court yesterday with being drunk in Victoria Street and with trespassing on his wife's property during tho currency of their separation order. Mr. Singer, representing accused's wife, said a similar incident had happened six months ago, but tho last timo the wife would not prosecute. "She is in fear of her life," said counsel. "He must obey tho order of the Court," said the magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, who sentenced accused to 14 days' imprisonment on the second charge and fined him 5s for drunkenness.
