JACK MORRIS HEAD.
OLDEST GOLF PROFESSIONAL.
FIFTY YEARS AT HOYLAKE.
(Received November 29, 6.5 p.m.) \ ' LONDON, Nov. 28. The death has occurred of Mr. Jack Morris, aged 82. He was the oldest golf professional, and for 50 years had been professional to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake, Cheshire.
Jack Morris was born at St. Andrews in 1817. Old Tom Morris was his uncle, and Young Tom his cousin. In July, 1869, Jack Morris became professional to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, and he was a life member of the club.
