NEW RULE OF GOLF.
STEEL SHAFTS LEGALISED.
ACTION BY ST. ANDREWS,
LONDON, Nov. 28. The Rules of Golf Committee of the Royal and Ancient Club, St. Andrews, has legalised the use of steel shafts.
The use of steel-shafted clubs, while legal in America arid Canada, has not until now been allowed bv the Royal and Ancient Club, in spite of much pressure to allow their use in matches. Most shafts are made of hickory.
